A self-drive destination which is a perfect getaway for a group of family or friends on a dedicated game farm. It is also an ideal overnight stay for travellers or international guests who wish to experience the Karoo while on a short-stay. Guests are free to explore the entire landscape which is an ideal environment for walks, mountain biking, bird watching with a list of over 200 species and if lazy days are your thing, a braai/barbecue at the shaded lapa by the river completes the magic of our lodge and the Karoo.
Branddoorns
At first encounter the Karoo may seem arid, desolate and unforgiving, but to those who know it, it is a land of secret beauty and infinite variety.
The untamed Karoo bushveld echoes the spirit of Africa. There are magnificent animals that have settled on the farm. Expect to see Eland, Kudu, Gemsbok, Golden Wildebees, Black Wildebees, Blue Wildebees, Zebra, Rooi Hartebees, Springbok, Blesbok, Impala, Fellon Deer, Steenbok and Duiker. Be sure to keep your camera on hand at all times.
Lodge Accommodation
The lodge offers its visitors a private and comfortable self catering space where you can unwind and make the most of your Karoo experience.
The lodge can accommodate a maximum of 14 people in 6 well appointed twin-bed bedrooms. 2 bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, 2 bedrooms share a Jack & Jill bathroom and the remaining 2 bedrooms also share a Jack & Jill bathroom.
The rooms are tastefully decorated with comfort in mind. A large well appointed communal living area with indoor fireplace/braai, an open-planned kitchen, dinning area and bar.
Outside, you can enjoy some social time by the fire pit. Tea and coffee is complimentary. WiFi is available throughout the guest house. A water reservoir completes the picture, a favourite for alfresco dipping on warm days.
Min 4 people max 14 people, R450 per head with a minimum stay of 2 nights. (Minimum R1 800.00 per night.)
